90% of the brain develops by the time you’re five. That’s why Theirworld’s global #5for5 campaign is all about those early years. But not all governments are listening and making it a priority.
But there is a chance to change this. World leaders are meeting in Germany in July at the G20 Summit to agree their priorities and what they should fund.
We need them to prioritise the early years and especially pre-primary education, especially for the poorest and most marginalised children.
But they are busy and we need to get this in front of them. Can you spare five seconds to support our campaign?
We want to get over 20,000 signatures that we can deliver to world leaders attending the G20 in July. Sign and share, and help us stand up for those who haven’t yet mastered standing.
The petitionWe call on world leaders to support children under five by backing a new funding initiative - the International Finance Facility for Education (IFFEd) - that will help to pay for quality pre-primary education programmes.
90% of brain development happens before the age of five. Help us raise awareness of early childhood development and put pressure on world leaders to make sure all children have access to quality care including nutrition, health, learning, play and protection.
