Andreas Schleicher is Director for Education and Skills and Special Advisor on Education Policy to the Secretary-General at the OECD. He initiated and oversees the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), the world’s foremost international benchmark of school system performance, and has advised ministers worldwide for more than two decades.
