A Global Youth Ambassador tells how he discussed the need for communities to support education for children at a UN conference.
Last week, I attended my very first Global Goals Model United Nations conference in Malaysia.
Global Goals MUN were created to provide a better understanding of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
I was bit nervous on the first day but overall it was a memorable conference. Meeting new friends from different countries, learning new things from them and knowing more about their culture was amazing.
At the conference, I was a delegate of Lebanon for Goal 4: Quality of Education. We talked about how poor education quality affects society, community and country.
Parents and the community must support children’s literacy and numeracy development because they are the most important influences in a child's education and schools can benefit enormously from their support.
