Tell the next UK government they must invest in the Earliest Years around the world

We can all agree that no child should be denied the chance for the best start in life. We all want to live in a world where children have what they need to learn, grow and succeed. But right now, over 350 million children around the world don’t have access to the early childhood care they need.

As one of the world’s wealthiest nations, the UK has the power to lead by investing a higher percentage of its aid on the youngest children.

However, UK aid investment into preschool has decreased in recent years. This is leaving many children behind from the start, denied the chance to fulfil their potential academically and in life.

Investing in the early years of children’s lives is a game-changer. By channelling resources into this critical period, we have the power to support countless futures, offering millions a better, fairer, start.

Yet despite the evidence, World Leaders continue to underinvest.

The next UK government needs to step up and help create a level playground for children worldwide.
