United Nations General Assembly: Act for Early Years Symposium

Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Date: Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 Location: New York City

The Act For Early Years Symposium is a convening of stakeholders, policy experts, campaigners and youth to hold a series of discussions about early childhood and three main themes: youth mobilization and advocacy, emergency and crisis situations, and innovative financing strategies.

The event is hosted by Theirworld Global Youth Ambassadors, in collaboration with the Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN), the Brookings Institution Center for Universal Education, UNICEF and Sesame Workshop.

For a child, the first five to six years are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. That is when 90% of brain development occurs and patterns of learning and behavior are set for the future. But millions of children are missing out on the best start in life. It’s time to Act For Early Years.

Check back here as more details are finalized.

The event location will be announced to confirmed attendees. The event will take place in Midtown East within walking distance of the United Nations headquarters.
