All Means All: Uniting for Disability-Inclusion Early Years Investment

Date: Wednesday, September 24, 2025
Location: Midtown Manhatten – address will be shared with confirmed attendees
Time: 8:00am – 9:30am

Children with disabilities face significant barriers to accessing early years services globally. Despite the critical importance of early childhood development, children with disabilities are 25% less likely to attend early childhood education and experience 34% higher rates of stunting than their peers.

The Act for Early Years campaign calls for at least $1 billion in new funding commitments to end the global early years crisis. However, achieving truly universal access requires disability inclusion to be embedded from the start, with movements working together to ensure all young children thrive in life.

Join Theirworld and Perkins for a critical conversation on disability-inclusive early years financing, bringing together early years advocates, disability networks, humanitarian organizations, and philanthropies to explore how joint advocacy can ensure disability inclusion is central to early years investment and policy.

Informed by Theirword’s new discussion paper, All Means All, this invitation-only breakfast workshop will foster strategic partnerships across movements to unlock new investment opportunities and ensure young children with disabilities get the best start in life.

You can read the All Means All discussion paper here.

The roundtable will explore:

  • How philanthropies can support and amplify cross-movement collaboration on disability inclusion
  • Specific joint actions that could create the greatest political impact for young children with disabilities
  • Mechanisms for coordinating advocacy efforts across early years and disability rights movements

Participants will engage with early years specialists, disability rights advocates, government partners, and philanthropic leaders who are championing inclusive development and fostering systemic change through innovative approaches to cross-movement collaboration.

Together, we can build a more powerful coalition that addresses the barriers facing children with disabilities in their earliest years, ensuring every child has access to quality early childhood development, care and preschool education.
