“We created awareness of conservation and 200 pupils and teachers each planted a tree”

Global Youth Ambassadors

Global Youth Ambassadors from Kenya are helping children to understand the importance of protecting the environment.

I am glad to share that together with a fellow Global Youth Ambassador, Rogers Kitur, we successfully held our first edition of OneChildOneTree Drive.

The drive brings to the front line the next generation in matters of environmental conservation.

We undertook a tree-planting exercise where more than 200 pupils and teachers at Fathers Lelei Toror Academy in Nandi County, Kenya, each planted and adopted a tree.

Prior to this, we held a session to create awareness on the importance of environmental conservation and the role that children can play in this.

We used the platform to highlight the importance of education in our society.
