Help Nepal’s children get back to school after earthquake

At least 950,000 children in Nepal will not be able to return to school, unless urgent action is taken to provide temporary learning spaces and repair damaged school buildings following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake on April 25. 

Almost 24,000 classrooms were damaged or destroyed in the earthquake that hit the country 13 days ago, with many suffering further damage in subsequent aftershocks.

As an A World At School Ambassador from Nepal, I have personally pledged to raise $50,000 through a crowdfunding campaign called “Rebuilding Nepal ’15” in order to support children to get back to education as soon as possible.

This includes working to set up child-friendly spaces, temporary learning spaces and rebuilding schools in 14 districts affected by the earthquake.
