Youth training in journalistic storytelling

About Theirworld

Founded 22 years ago, Theirworld has grown to become a leading global children’s charity committed to the best start in life for children and young people by ending the education crisis and unleashing the potential of the next generation. If you care about issues like climate change, gender equality, inclusion, helping refugees and ensuring the voices of young people are represented at all levels of decision-making, then education is the key to unlocking big change in these areas.

About the Global Youth Ambassador Programme

Theirworld’s Global Youth Ambassador (GYA) programme has a network of more than 2000 young people from over 140 countries around the world. GYAs are supported to advocate for education, taking their experiences and knowledge of their own communities and bringing it to powerholders, making the case to unlock big change everywhere.

About the Project

This training project will support up to 10 GYAs globally to capture and share real-life stories of education in their communities through the themes of the best start in life, safe places to learn, and skills for the future. Selected participants will receive basic equipment (e.g. small camera, microphone, tripod stand) to create their content and will receive direct support and training from a storytelling specialist. The project will culminate in an exhibition of their work in September 2025.
