More nonprofits to join U.S. network of youth skills bodies

Fifteen amazing organisations from across the United States will be part of the 2025 Youth Skills and Employment Accelerator, an initiative of the Global Business Coalition for Education that has already invested in 28 nonprofits.
Fifteen exceptional nonprofits that work with young people from underserved communities in the United States have been selected to join the 2025 Youth Skills and Employment Accelerator.
The Accelerator – an initiative of the Global Business Coalition for Education, supported by Dell Technologies and Deloitte – is a network in the U.S. of youth-serving nonprofits focused on skills development and employment.
The Accelerator is part of a nationwide drive to ensure that by 2030 all young Americans will have the skills needed to find work in a rapidly-changing job market.
With support from Deloitte and Dell Technologies, the Accelerator was launched by GBC-Education in 2021 to allow youth-serving nonprofits focused on skills development and employment to collaborate. It has already invested in 28 organisations across 22 U.S states, positively impacting more than 200,000 young people.
The 15 nonprofits chosen this year work in areas ranging from cyber skills and financial literacy to entrepreneurship and culinary expertise. As part of the year-long programme, participants receive funding, training and networking opportunities to scale up their impact and help even more young people find meaningful employment.
Justin van Fleet, President of Theirworld and CEO of the Global Business Coalition for Education, said: “With one in 10 young people in the U.S. not in school or work, there’s an urgent need to invest in their future.
“The Accelerator will equip nonprofits working with young people from underserved communities with the tools and support they need to make a real difference in the lives of young people.”
After taking part in the Accelerator, organisations and their leaders remain part of the network, with access to ongoing networking and peer-to-peer support opportunities.
Maia Wagner, Director of Global Programs and Community Engagement at Dell Technologies, said: “We are thrilled to welcome this incredible group of nonprofits to the 2025 Accelerator. By empowering organisations at the community level, we are building an ecosystem that ensures all young people have access to the critical skills needed to thrive in a rapidly-evolving workforce.”
