Theirworld runners tackle the Great North Run

Congratulations to the runners who took to the road and braved the heat of the North East to raise money for Theirworld. The Great North Run is one of the most popular half marathons in the UK, attracting over 57,000 participants including famous names like this year’s winner, Mo Farah. Theirworld’s fastest runner, Dave Jowett, finished in 476th position – an incredible achievement in a race of this size and reputation.

Impressive efforts on the run were matched by some very successful fundraising. All money raised will go directly to support our talented and dedicated team of scientists at the Jennifer Brown Research Laboratory. Their pioneering research helps us better understand how we can better help treasured tiny newborns in those first crucial hours and days after birth.
