Škola dokorán - Wide Open School

About

Škola Dokorán – Wide Open School n. o., is an open non-profit organisation focused on community development and lifelong learning in socially disadvantaged groups, with an emphasis on families, especially those with young children, active at local, national and international levels.

They focus on Early Childhood Education and Care, providing professional development opportunities for teachers and para-professionals, conducting parenting programmes to improve Early Childhood Education and Care for underserved refugees and non-refugees including Roma people, migrants and others.

The programme, called TOY for Inclusion, is supported across Europe by ICDI, and implemented in Slovakia by Škola dokorán with the support of UNICEF. The implementers believe the innovation lies in combining the various building blocks of the programme.
