Take on the steps challenge as a school
Sign up as a school to reach the ‘Magic Million’ steps milestone.
#YourWalk is a great way to engage children and families with global issues such as conflict and refugees – all while experiencing the benefits of walking outdoors. We even provide free teaching resources, for children aged seven to 16, to facilitate lesson plans on the issues #YourWalk addresses.
We will provide you with all promotional materials – including fun sticker packs – and, if you commit to fundraise $400 (the equivalent of two laptops) we’ll also provide you with pedometers to help get children and families moving and counting their steps.
Theirworld, Your Walk is also a great platform to help students complete part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award. The steps they take can be logged in their physical section activity log or they can accumulate hours for their volunteering section by fundraising for Theirworld.
How your school can get involved
The Magic Million
Encourage students to team up to walk one million steps together. They can team up in classes, year groups or even houses and combine their steps to reach that all important target. Teachers, support staff and parents may want to join too!
