To apply for the Education Innovation Awards Cohort 3, your innovation should be primarily focused on early learning education outcomes through a multi-modal approach – which means combining two or more services in a way that amplifies their benefits and/or is more efficient or cost-effective.
In practice, this means your intervention should include education AND one or more of the following areas:
Our aim is to support the Sustainable Development Goal target 4.2: “By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education.”
We also welcome applications that include elements of climate awareness, adaptation or education in their initiative.
Your innovation must have reached at least 5,000 learners, caregivers and/or teachers in the past year, and been trialled in at least two different contexts. You must have been working on your innovation for at least 18 months, and you must already have enough funding to continue for at least another 18 months from now.
While projects can come from any country, we will prioritise applications that have impact in, or intend to scale to, one or more countries where we have existing projects (see map: https://theirworld.org/projects/).
