“Good life starts with good health and good education starts with good health”
Global Youth Ambassadors, Health and nutrition
A Global Youth Ambassador from Uganda tells how her initiative partnered with a hospital to help more than 300 children with free medical services.
This time round at Kakyo Girls Initiative we celebrated Day of the African Child in a different style.
This year’s theme was “Accelerating Protection: empowerment and equal opportunities for children in Africa by 2030”.
We believe that for all the above to happen then children’s health is very important to be considered first – because good quality education starts with good health.
Therefore, we were pleased to partner with Aga Khan University Hospital in Kampala, who gave free free medical services to all children and the community members at large in Karambi-Fort Portal. More than 300 kids benefited from this.
Also the member of Parliament for Fort Portal municipality, Hon. Alex Ruhunda, was pleased by the initiative done and emphasised that parents and guardians should ensure children go to school.
Good life starts with good health and good education starts with good health.
