Meet the walking celebrities

Arabella Weir, pictured left, is no stranger to Scotland - she stars in the BBC Scotland TV sitcom Two Doors Down. Comedian, writer, actor and presenter Sandi Toksvig is a Theirworld ambassador. Kathy Lette is the author of many best-selling books.

Sarah added: “Theirworld works in the UK and around the world with projects ranging from Code Clubs for girls in Africa, teacher training programmes in Turkey for Syrian refugee children and school nutrition programmes and tech clubs in Lebanon.”

She has urged people to turn up and support the walkers as they pass through towns and villages on the route.

Donations can be made directly to the walkers’ collection buckets or via a JustGiving page. You can also text FIFE18 £10 to 70070 to donate to Theirworld and make a difference today.

Organiser Sarah said the team is “a tiny bit apprehensive but hugely excited”.

She revealed they are planning a number of special drop-ins and events along the way, including an early stop-off at the Sands Cafe in Aberdour and Morrison’s supermarket in Kirkcaldy.

All funds raised will go to Theirworld to help our work promoting safe schools and helping to give children the best possible start in life.
