Theirworld does RideLondon 2016

We are proud to announce that we will be entering ten fundraisers into this year’s Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 mile bicycle race on Sunday 31st July.

Apart from being part of a world-class festival of cycling, the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 aims to become the largest charity fundraising cycling event in the world. This presents participants with a wonderful opportunity to raise money for a cause that is close to their heart. Our 10 fabulous riders are currently working hard to raise money for Theirworld whilst finding the time (and energy) to train, showing great determination to make both their cycle and their fundraising a success.

On the morning of 31st our cyclists will depart from the famous Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and take in some of London’s most famous sites before rolling out into the picturesque Surrey countryside. The climb to the summit of Leith Hill and the muscle-sapping ascent of Box hill represent the two major challenges as the route loops back into the city, but the riders will be rewarded with a spectacular ride to the finish under Admiralty Arch and on to The Mall.

“I can’t wait!” says Emma McNeice, a Theirworld fundraiser, riding in the event for the first time.  “To be doing something so far out of my comfort zone is a little nerve-wracking, but I am sure it will be an unforgettable experience. Knowing that any money I raise will be going to a great cause makes it all worthwhile”.

You can come along and watch the event for free, but be aware that some portions of the route will be closed to spectators for safety reasons. If you would like to sponsor Emma, you can donate to her fundraising page here. Alternatively, you can donate directly to us here.
