Top tweets about education on Universal Children’s Day

Today is Universal Children's Day – when children's rights are promoted around the world.

The date November 20 marks the day on which the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959 and the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989.

With 59 million children and more than 60 million adolescents out of school, education is key to ensuring children fulfil their potential and are not forced into child labour, child marriage and other forms of dsicrimination.

To mark Universal Children's Day, here are some of the top tweets about education today – starting with our own one, of course!
