The Creative Kids Zone Initiative

About

The Creative Kids Zone Initiative (TCKZone) addresses the lack of STEM education in Nigeria by going directly to the communities and schools to train the kids in STEM.

Skooqs provide democratized access to learning opportunities outside of children’s traditional classroom, and they are intentionally building children’s brains by assembling the 21st-century skills they know they’ll need to succeed while leveraging video streaming technology, online classes, one-on-one tutors, offline access, and scaling personalisation with self-serve AI.

Their programmes include: CodeCamp (coding and digital skills training for teenagers in Nigeria), robotics classes, hackathons, and mentorship for STEM and digital literacy. TCKZone also partners with schools and other educational institutions to integrate STEM education and digital skills training into their curriculum. This approach helps to reach a larger number of young people and ensures that STEM education is sustained beyond the TCKZone programs. They use STEM to tackle real problems in the communities where learners are living.
