About Theirworld

What is Theirworld?

Theirworld is a global children’s charity committed to ending the global education crisis and unleashing the potential of the next generation.

What types of projects does Theirworld fund?

Theirworld acts on the ground to support education for some of the most marginalised children in the world.

Our current and recent projects have been running in Botswana, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, Lebanon, Nigeria, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, the UK and Zambia.

Working to support refugees in Greece, Lebanon and Turkey, we focus on delivering education to children in crisis and on increasing the provision of inclusive and accessible pre-primary education.

In sub-Saharan Africa, we have been developing an exciting digital literacy curriculum, to offer girls the skills they will need to succeed in the digital economy.

Wherever we work, we aim to foster innovation, sustainability and scalability, and to build the capacity of systems for the long term in support of Sustainable Development Goal 4, inclusive and equitable quality education for all.

What is it like working with Theirworld?

Working alongside our project partners is at the heart of what we do. Here are some comments from some project partners, on what it’s like to work with Theirworld:

The Theirworld team was enthusiastically involved with us in all stages of the project, from designing the theory of change to implementation. The flexibility of the team made it possible to propose new ideas and adapt plans in accordance with the rising situations… Theirworld’s motivation to provide equal educational opportunities to vulnerable children was in line with our vision and passion.” – Project partner, Lebanon

I have never gotten better materials, than the ones from [this programme].” Participant, Innovation Awards Cohort 1, Uganda

We really enjoyed being a part of this platform and all the tools that were provided to us by Theirworld as support on our scaling journey.” – Participant, Innovation Awards Cohort 1, Uganda

[The whole programme] was really useful in helping us interrogate our model from different perspectives.” – Participant, Innovation Awards Cohort 1, Uganda

The two workshops hosted by Theirworld were extremely helpful! Sometimes it is not always easy to know what partners expect in application forms and opportunities can be missed due to lack of communication. I felt like the workshops really brought along potential grantees to be able to respond to the questions raised in the application to the best of our ability.” – Applicant feedback, Cohort 2
