Nick Sharratt’s #StillLearning campaign
As part of Theirworld’s #StillLearning campaign, author and illustrator Nick Sharratt, invited families to share their children’s drawings on social media that show how they are #StillLearning at home.

Theirworld ambassador Steve Nguyen has collaborated with four of our Global Youth Ambassadors (GYAs) to create a series of colourful graphic stories portraying their journey into a life of advocacy for education.

Sarah Brown’s team of friends and celebrities – Great British Bake Off presenter Sandi Toksvig and her partner Debbie, actress Arabella Weir and author Kathy Lette – walked the Fife Coastal Path in aid of Theirworld raising almost £30,000.
The power of education video - voiced by actor David Tennant
Children have the power to transform the world – but first they need an education. That’s the message of a powerful video launched by Theirworld to raise awareness of the global education crisis and to tell world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly to step up and invest in education.
The film was voiced by the actor David Tennant and highlights the role of education in addressing some of the greatest challenges we face, from climate change to civil unrest.
#WriteTheWrong: Make early childhood education a priority
Theirworld’s #WriteTheWrong campaign released a powerful film highlighting the global education crisis. The film was narrated by actor and child rights campaigner Gwendoline Christie, best known for her roles in Game of Thrones and Star Wars.
Other celebrities showed their support online with Dynamo, Annie Lennox, Ben Winston, Steve Nguyen, Matt Lucas and Laura Bailey all tweeting about the campaign.
Dynamo: 72 Hours
In 2018, Dynamo visited Lebanon with Theirworld to make a film highlighting the plight of Syrian refugee children and broken promises made by the international community.
In the film, titled 72 Hours – part of Theirworld’s #YouPromised campaign – Dynamo tells how he was inspired to act and find out more about the education crisis that has left more than 680,000 Syrian refugee children still out of school. Read more about this project here.
Comedians are #5for5
When you’re a comedian, it’s child’s play to make people laugh. So a bunch of well-known comics grabbed the chance to act like big kids to support Theirworld’s #5for5 campaign.
They include Matt Lucas, Rainn Wilson, Jackie Tohn, Wendy Liebman, Shappi Khorsandi and Nish Kumar.
Shakira is #UpForSchool
In 2015, Shakira delivered the world’s biggest ever petition on education – the #UpForSchool Petition, which was signed by more than 10 million people.
Shakira – a passionate advocate for children’s education in her home country of Colombia and around the world – was a crucial campaigner for the petition, mobilising the power of her millions of followers on social media.
