After many years of being a wonderful supporter of our work, be it on social media or starring in one of our campaign films, we are thrilled to welcome Matt Lucas as a Theirworld Ambassador for our 20th anniversary year. Matt is an actor, comedian, writer and presenter of The Great British Bake Off. He first came to prominence in Shooting Stars with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Together with David Walliams, he reaped massive success with the smash-hit series Little Britain, winning three BAFTAs.

Matt is an actor, comedian, writer and presenter of The Great British Bake Off. He first came to prominence in Shooting Stars with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Together with David Walliams, he reaped massive success with the smash-hit series Little Britain, winning three BAFTAs.
Matt has starred in numerous critically and commercially acclaimed projects. His film credits include: Disney’s Alice in Wonderland films, Paddington and his scene-stealing role in the smash-hit Bridesmaids. Recently, he starred in Jonas Åkerlund’s Polar, series ten of Doctor Who and onstage as Thenardier in Les Misérables at the Gielgud Theatre. Matt’s memoir, Little Me, was published by Canongate in 2017 and he’s also the creator of a string of bestselling children’s books, including Thank You, Baked Potato (based on the Official UK Download Chart-topping song), its sequel Merry Christmas, Baked Potato, and My Very, Very, Very, Very, Very, Very, Very Silly Book of Jokes.
