Maple Leaf Early Years Foundation

About

Maple Leaf Early Years Foundation aims to promote children’s psychosocial, health, nutrition needs, physical development, and learning potential and ensure the right of every child to access early childhood education which will ensure the child’s protection from abuse, harm, and health hazards by promoting Early Childhood Development Education in the basic educational system which would involve the incorporation or attachment of preschools to primary schools to ensure the smooth transition from pre-primary to primary school.

Maple Leaf aims to scale up their Transitional Learning Centres, an inclusive programme for children in the early years and primary school, which includes social emotional learning, to equip them with life skills.

The focus is on children who have been affected by displacement, to ensure their education is not interrupted. Staff are trained in ECD to plan and implement stimulating programs.

The organisation also provides a school feeding programme, psychosocial support, massage therapy for mothers and infants as well as an agri-vocational program for youth.
