About
Power Learn Project (PLP) offers decentralized, project-based software development skills training to youth, particularly girls in underserved areas in Kenya, Nigeria & Tanzania enabling them access decent work opportunities in the digital economy and develop innovative enterprises. The training is supported by a dynamic curriculum designed to be relevant to the ever-changing global tech-talent market. PLP aims to lower the financial, geographical & entry barriers of accessibility to tech skills for youth in Africa.
Power Learn Project has developed a virtual on-demand tech-skills learning portal to train youth in software development, enabling their graduates to access work as junior software developers or tech-start-up owners. Learners are then paired with private enterprises and government entities for job placements and internships.
