Fundraising ideas for schools

Fundraising for Theirworld can not only be fun but help children start to become active global citizens capable of making a positive difference to the world. It can also develop important skills such as leadership, communication and teamwork.

There are lots of ways to raise money to help Theirworld ensure that every child has the best start in life, a safe place to learn and skills for the future. We’d love to have your support.

Fundraising ideas for schools

Hold a book sale: Most people, including friends, family and neighbours, have boxes of books they no longer want. Why not ask if they will donate them for a book sale which you could hold after school?
Organise a cake sale: Get the whole school baking and raising money with a cake sale.
Have a non-uniform day: Organise a non-uniform or Christmas Jumper Day and suggest people donate £1 to Theirworld.
Take part in a reading challenge: Set aside some time for a sponsored read. Children can ask people to sponsor their read and raise money based on the number of pages they read.
Get active: Design your own sporting challenge where children can ask people to sponsor them. It could be to run or cycle a certain distance, set up an obstacle race in the playground or organise a danceathon.
