About the role
Theirworld is seeking a Communications Assistant to support our busy Marketing and Communications team. Based in London and reporting to the Director of Communications, you will work across our campaigns, events and project trips, and provide essential administrative support to in-house team members as well as external suppliers and agencies.
You will support the delivery of communications across our brand channels — including websites, email and social media — helping us to ensure our content is delivered on time, on brand and with impact.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their communications career who wants to gain hands-on experience and build skills across a wide range of disciplines.

Main responsibilities
The Communications Assistant will support communications, media, content, projects and events including:
The Communications Assistant will provide essential support to ensure the smooth setup and running of communications, marketing projects, content production and events. Responsibilities include:
- Project and administrative support: Assisting with multiple projects at once, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and notes, organising shared documents and files, helping draft briefs, tracking actions and supporting internal and external stakeholders to keep work moving.
- Content coordination: Supporting the gathering, organisation and creation of content in-house, with partners and at events. This includes managing content folders, logging and tagging assets, preparing copy or visual materials for review, coordinating approvals, and ensuring content is ready for use across digital and offline channels.
- Brand channel support: Helping maintain our busy websites, email communications and social media channels by uploading content, drafting posts or newsletters, updating pages, and ensuring information is accurate, timely and consistent with brand guidelines.
- Event support: Assisting with the setup and delivery of a year-round programme of events, including venue research, branding and collateral preparation, invitations, supplier liaison, on-site support and general logistics.
- Team-wide coordination: Acting as a central support to the Marketing & Communications team by managing shared inboxes or workflows, assisting with procurement and supplier management, processing invoices, organising assets, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Experience, skills and character
The Communications Assistant will provide essential all-round support to ensure the smooth setup and running of communications, marketing projects, content production and events. Responsibilities include:
- A determined, enthusiastic and proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. Experience with Monday.com is a plus
- A problem-solving mindset and the initiative to anticipate needs and keep projects running smoothly.
- Familiarity with digital communications, including social media, website content management and email creation and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams
- Confident communicator able to work with a variety of internal teams, suppliers, partners and agencies.
- Comfortable supporting the administrative backbone of a busy team — from scheduling and file management to content organising and supplier coordination.
- Collaborative, hands-on and eager to learn across a wide range of marketing and communications activities.
- Up to a year or more of experience in communications, marketing, production or events (in-house or agency) is desirable. Experience supporting project management or team operations is a plus.
Salary
Starting at £27,000+ based on qualifications and experience.
