“I started a foundation that aims to help children from poor backgrounds to get a chance to go to schools”

I am glad to share with you what I am doing following my appointment as A Global Youth Ambassador.

After being appointed I started a non-profit organisation named the Manzi Foundation that has a mission of enabling vulnerable children to get access to education and empower youth with leadership skills to lead the world to positive change.

The foundation aims to help children from poor backgrounds to get a chance to go to schools. The children mainly targeted are orphans of conflicts residing in refugee camps and children living in orphanage centres.

On Universal Children’s Day, at the first event organised by the Manzi Foundation, I invited young people working for the same cause (young entrepreneurs working to enable vulnerable children go back to school) to a video conference to bring together people from across Rwanda and East African region. The theme for discussion was “Education for all, all for education”.

Prior to that, young people I had invited helped to answer the question why education is important.
