Researcher wins prestigious award

Congratulations to Dr Emma Moore, who was awarded the prize for Best Presentation by a Trainee at the Neonatal Society meeting in London. Her paper, ‘Preterm birth is associated with atypical social cognition in infancy’, was presented among a national pool of applicants where the standard was very high.

Dr Moore is a Specialist Trainee in Paediatrics working at the Jennifer Brown Research Laboratory with Dr James Boardman on the effects of preterm birth on brain development. Their research continues the Laboratory’s tradition of developing talented clinical academics in training as they become the neonatal specialists of the future.
