Theirworld team cycles 100 miles to raise funds for our work with children

A big thank you to the cyclists who defied the weather to pedal through London and Surrey - do you fancy having a go next year?

We want to say a very big thank you and congratulations to everyone who completed the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 bicycle ride to raise funds for Theirworld.

They are Alex Fincham, Emma Lynas, Emma McNeice, Hector Macneal, James Sanders, Peter Kelsey, Constanze Zehentmeier, Jean Reverdy, Theo Bertram and Tom Price.

Our team faced leg-testing climbs on the 100-mile route through London and Surrey.

Over the past few months, all the team members have been working very hard at raising money for Theirworld while finding the time to train.

When the big day came, the Theirworld team defied the not-so-great weather and the drizzle and rolled out in a fleet of colourful orange and white cycling jerseys.

The ride itself, which celebrates the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games, started at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, east London.

It then followed a 100-mile route through stretches of London into Surrey’s countryside and back into the capital before the iconic finish on the Mall.

Sponsorships are still coming in for the Theirworld team and so far they have raised an incredible amount of over £3500. So once again a big, big thank you to our team!

If you are interested in taking on the challenge for Theirworld next year, please email [email protected] for more information. The 2018 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 will take place on Sunday, July 29.

Your support helps us create a brighter future for every child.
