Dr. Rachel Glennerster

Rachel Glennerster has been President of the Center for Global Development since September 2024, having previously served as Chief Economist at the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. As Executive Director of J-PAL at MIT (2004 to 2017) she helped pioneer randomized trials in development economics, and helped establish Deworm the World, which has delivered more than one billion deworming treatments to children.
