Interview Special: Jessica Morris

In this powerful interview special podcast host Sarah Brown talks to Jessica Morris, the brilliant campaigner and change maker who channeled her skills and career as a highflying communications executive to become a fearless campaigner to tackle a challenge that threatened her own life; a rare form of brain cancer called glioblastoma.

Jessica died in June 2021 after defying expectations and surviving more than five years with TEF (The Evil F**ker as she called it) and found much to talk and learn about brain cancer. In 2018 she campaigned alongside hundreds of brain cancer advocates who rallied at the USA’s Capitol Hill to push for more funding for medical research and acceleration of drug discovery, and development.

Glioblastoma has taken the life of several well-known people, including US Senator Ted Kennedy, US President Joe Biden’s son Beau Biden, and the UK’s former Culture and Olympics Minister, Tessa Jowell, Baroness Jowell DBE.

Following Jessica’s diagnosis, she channeled her energy into ways to accelerate progress against brain cancer. Alongside a medical team and a community of others living with brain cancer, Jessica founded OurBrainBank – https://ourbrainbank.org/
