Disability and Inclusion Lead, Theirworld
As Theirworld prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary and chart a new strategic path forward, we invite you to join us for an intimate conversation about the importance of disability and inclusion, starting in the early years and throughout the lives and education of young people. We hope to identify ways that foundations, businesses, and young people can work together to forge a more inclusive society for the next generation.
Following a brief round of introductions, an informal conversation will take place exploring inclusion at large — and where the greatest impact can be made for children and youth with disabilities in their educational development and well-being. We ask you to consider where you see the largest gaps for children and young people and disabilities – and what is one change you would like to see to help ensure greater inclusion for all children to have a bright future full of hope and possibility.
During UNGA 2026 Week (20-24 September 2026) Theirworld will host several high-level security events at 599 Lexington Avenue, New York. Attendees of all events must review and follow these instructions to prevent issues or delays on the day of the event.
Only pre-registered and accredited guests will be allowed to enter the venue without exceptions. All team and delegation members, including support staff, security personnel, translators, photographers, assistants and drivers, must be registered by name at least five days before the event date. Please send full names exactly as they appear on the government-issued photo ID that will be presented at the building.
Names cannot be added on the day of the event. Anyone not on the building security list will not be admitted. For events with limited capacity, registered support staff will be directed to a secondary staff room to wait for their principals.
Invitations are strictly non-transferable. Accompanying staff must be registered in advance by contacting the meeting organizer. Please note, there will not be additional seating at the main table or in the room during the dinner.
Guests attending multiple meetings in our office on the same day must RSVP for each event separately, but will only need to check in once. All accreditations are timed, and guests may be asked to leave once all their events are complete.
Security teams that would like to conduct advance visits can contact Anna Shakarova at anna@theirworld.org to schedule a time.
Guests should enter 599 Lexington Ave. from the corner of E 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue and proceed to the check-in desk with a valid picture ID. Guests must check in in person; no one can check in on behalf of a colleague.
Due to strict security protocols, those without pre-registration will be asked to leave the building lobby. Delegation members without registration can wait for their principals and teams at the restaurants and public seating areas at “The Hugh” across the street on East 53rd Street.
All attendees are encouraged to check in at least 15 minutes before their event’s start time. The check-in desk will be located in the lobby of 599 Lexington Avenue and will open 45 minutes before each event.
Media access, including staff photographers, is granted by prior accreditation only. Some events are closed to the media entirely.
The Theirworld team will take professional photography and distribute it to all attendees and interested media outlets post-event. For all media inquiries, please get in touch with media@theirworld.org.
