#WriteTheWrong: Make early childhood education a priority
Theirworld's #WriteTheWrong campaign released a powerful film highlighting the global education crisis. The film was narrated by actor and child rights campaigner Gwendoline Christie, best known for her roles in Game of Thrones and Star Wars.
Our Theirworld celebrity supporters made sure world leaders were aware that every child deserves the best start in life:

Dynamo: 72 Hours
In 2018, Dynamo visited Lebanon with Theirworld to make a film highlighting the plight of Syrian refugee children and broken promises made by the international community.
In the film, titled 72 Hours - part of Theirworld's #YouPromised campaign - Dynamo tells how he was inspired to act and find out more about the education crisis that has left more than 680,000 Syrian refugee children still out of school. Read more about this project here.
International Women's Day 2019

Comedians are #5for5
When you're a comedian, it's child's play to make people laugh. So a bunch of well-known comics grabbed the chance to act like big kids to support Theirworld's #5for5 campaign.
They include Matt Lucas, Rainn Wilson - star of the US version of TV show The Office - joins stand-up comedians Jackie Tohn, Wendy Liebman, Shappi Khorsandi and Nish Kumar.
Shakira is #UpForSchool
In 2015, Shakira delivered the world’s biggest ever petition on education - the #UpForSchool Petition, which has been signed by more than 10 million people.
Shakira - a passionate advocate for children's education in her home country of Colombia and around the world - was a crucial campaigner for the petition, mobilising the power of her millions of followers on social media.
Our Ambassadors

Minnie Driver
The Oscar-nominated actress and star of American TV show Speechless has long been a defender of marginalised children’s rights and has been a Theirworld Ambassador since 2015. Her advocacy has helped spotlight our efforts on #RewritingTheCode for women and girls and providing hundreds of thousands of #SafeSchools places for Syrian refugees.

Dynamo
Dynamo is the multi award-winning, global magic icon. The closest thing to a real life comic book superhero, Dynamo has walked (on water) across the river Thames, levitated in front of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro and walked down the outside of the L.A times building. Dynamo has previously worked with Theirworld, on a film titled Safe Schools: Children Can No Longer Wait. With a strong focus on supporting education in emergencies and working to get Syrian refugee children back in school, Dynamo now joins the Theirworld team as an official ambassador.

Steve Nguyen
The renowned film and animation director, writer and producer became a Theirworld Ambassador in 2015 and has served as a champion for our Global Youth Ambassadors by telling their stories through video and a comic series. He is also an active Theirworld advocate among his large social media following.

Nick Sharratt
The award-winning illustrator and children’s author has been a supporter of Theirworld for a number of years. In 2016, Nick went to Lebanon to visit out-of-school Syrian refugee children and run an illustration workshop, helping them to draw and assemble images and show his support around the importance of education for all.

Sandi Toksvig OBE
Sandi is a Danish/British writer and presenter. She has been working on British TV and radio for more than 35 years. She has written over 25 books including fact and fiction. Her latest novel ‘The End of the Sky’ was published in November 2017.
