TV and film star Kim Cattrall is the latest celebrity to stand #UpForSchool

Actor Kim Cattrall has shared four pictures of herself as a schoolgirl on Twitter to show her support for the #UpForSchool Petition and the millions campaigning to ensure every girl and boy secures the right to go to school and learn.

The star of TV’s Sex and the City, many films and acclaimed stage roles joined a host of other celebrities who shared their school pictures to say that every child should be able to have an education. They include Shakira, Kofi Annan, Priyanka Chopra, Lang Lang, Heidi Klum, Bonnie Wright, Laura Carmichael, Miranda Hart and Brandy.

This #TBT (Throwback Thursday) trend was started by Sarah Brown, co-founder of A World at School, with her own school photo. The stars join more than 4.5 million people globally who have signed the petition standing #UpForSchool and the right of every child to an education. They are demanding that world leaders deliver on the promise made in 2000 that every child would be able to have a quality primary school education by the end of 2015.
